Hype Cell Factor: Revolution Breaks Ground On The Xbox 360 on N4G
Cell Factor: Revolution Breaks Ground On The Xbox 360 Wow, I was just thinking about this amazing, physics driven shooter, and guess what? No, don’t. I’ll tell you what, this game is now going to be a physics driven FPS for a console. Sadly, it’s not on the powerhouse PS3 (why are you losing so many opportunities at all these exclusives?!) But it’s the Xbox 360 that will be receiving this genre changing shooter.

Immersion Games and Artificial Studios was turning heads two years ago at E3, with the Cell Factor: Combat Training montage. But demo time is over with, it’s time to break out the real guns. Every aspect of Cell Factor’s unique physics technology is driven by Ageia’s PhysX. What does this mean? It means that the first-person shooting genre will never be the same for PC or console gamers.

The advanced physics technology allows for some of the most unreal deathmatch bouts imaginable. Players can literally throw hundreds of objects around to crush, mutilate, pound and decimate opponents. Now the only thing I’m interested in, is how Artificial Studios is planning on handling all the physically movable objects for the Xbox 360. Still, the very concept behind this game should kick-start a lot of developers to move away from the stagnate, stale and uncreative directions set by Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games, Quake IV, Bullet Witch, etc.

You can check out the trailer for Cell Factor: Revolution below. Enjoy.
