Chair Entertainment, Undertow developer and Epic Games subsidiary, revealed today that they have hired Howard Phillips. The name might ring a bell to some of your former NES owners - Phillips was the former "President" of the Nintendo Fan Club and one half of the "Howard & Nester" comic strip that appeared in Nintendo Power.
Phillips most recently worked at Microsoft Game Studios as a producer on projects such as Epic's Gears of War. "Howard has a remarkable history in the video game industry, and we expect the talent at Chair Entertainment to thrive under his leadership," said Epic president Michael Capps (via Gamasutra). Epic acquired Chair, a Utah-based developer, last May. Chair is currently working on downloadable video games based on two Orson Scott Card novels: Ender's Game and Empire. |
