Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Is Like The Battlefield Of Sword Games
If you've been looking for a team-based, melee-focused medieval warfare game that isn't about lone-wolf, modern warfare, you'll probably want to check out a game called Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, which is like the sword version of DICE's Battlefield.
One of the things that sets Chivalry apart from other games is that it's objective based with actual, tangible, doable objectives. You aren't just running to some empty room in the middle of a bleak hut to capture a spawn point that somehow procreates more guys. Instead, the objectives are logical to the era and actually make sense, and the combat is both refreshing and visceral (imagine Call of Duty entertainment values wrapped inside of Mount & Blade). Check it out below.
This game seems really similar to the other medieval battle game from Paradox Interactive, War of the Roses. However, it's never a bad thing to have choice and I'm glad Torn Banner Studios is working on a game that at least sets itself apart from all the other shooters out there. And really, how often do we get first-person, melee based games? We don't.
If you want to learn more about Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, be sure to pay a visit to the Official Website. You can look for the game to launch this summer exclusively on PC.
