City of Heroes let players become super heroes and its first expansion City of Villains allowed them to be supervillains, too. A new expansion, Going Rogue, will explore the gray area between heroism and villainy.

Going Rogue introduces Praetoria, a new parallel universe governed by the evil Tyrant. Rogue adds a new alignment system to the game, whereby super heroes can become villains and vice versa based on their decisions and the missions they perform. I suspect many folks already roleplayed their characters as brooding antiheroes but now the mechanics actually support it.

The official COH website features a new trailer for the expansion. No release date was revealed yet but information will be doled out "in the coming months."
