If you want to see footage of the newly announced Halo Legends anime, keep your eye on Xbox Live. Previews and behind-the-scenes video will debut on "Halo Waypoint", a new segment of the service exclusively devoted to the Halo franchise.

Waypoint will provide Halo-related news as well as podcasts, screenshots and exclusive videos. It will also add a "career system" and player rankings based on your performance in Halo games. Your rankings will also be effected by out-of-game accomplishments, whatever the hell those are. Maybe they give you points for defending the game on "omg halo iz overrated" discussion forum threads.

Halo Waypoint will launch on Xbox Live this fall. Halo 3: ODST will hit stores on September 22nd so I expect Waypoint to go live around that time.
