The Crysis 2 PS3 demo arrived just this week but it's already gone. EA decided to yank it off PSN early due to connection issues.
"Though many gamers have had a great experience playing the demo, we are aware that others have been experiencing server connection delays," said EA. "We’ve identified the root cause and have decided to close the PS3 demo in the next 24 hours to ensure all issues are resolved when the game launches next week. Our priority is to ensure that the final product is flawless at launch."
While it's true that this may result in a better final product, the move doesn't inspire much confidence in the PS3 version. There's already been a lot of discussion about that version's visual quality. Crytek's been trying to do some damage control on that front by insisting that the console versions are identical.
