Sony Online Entertainment released a handful of new screenshots featuring custom villains and a few heroes in action. My favorite screenshot of the new set is the one with the custom character Dr. Do No Good and his less than trusty sidekick Icy Injustice.

Despite the delays the game has suffered it’s still easily one of the most anticipated console MMOs coming out for the PlayStation 3. It also has gamers clamoring around the net trying to figure out which one is better: Champions Online or DC Universe Online. Both games offer up very similar features, with DCUO having a stronger focus on physics-based interaction involving the cityscape and environmental surroundings.

You can check out the latest screenshots of the game below, showcasing a bit of that physics-driven gameplay with some whirlwind attacks and other special powers on display.
