Dante's Inferno Heresy Trailer Tackles A Little Bit Of Controversy

published: 2009-11-11 12:57:45
Looks like EA will be treading over a pit of controversy now that they have revealed that Dante’s Inferno will step into the much debated realm of religion. It was sort of obvious given that the original poem was all about Christian beliefs depicted from missing books of the Bible, but the guys and gals at Visceral Games aren’t afraid to get a little down and dirty when it comes to religious controversy in games.

The developer documentary doesn’t really show much of the Heresy circle but it does explain a little bit of how the team handled designing the lair, as well as a feature in the game that hasn’t been discussed much at all: choice.

Dante can actually choose to save some souls or completely obliterate them. This sort of begs the question if there will be multiple endings based on the decisions players make throughout the game or if it will be a feature that’s just a placeholder for replay? I suppose only time will tell.

You can check out the new dev doc below and remember to stay tuned in as the Violence trailer goes live on the 9th of December. For more info on Dante’s Inferno feel free to pay a visit the Official Website.
