Dark Souls 2 Gameplay Footage Coming Tomorrow, First Screenshot Released
The first gameplay footage from Dark Souls 2 will debut tomorrow. For now, though, you can feast your eyes on the debut screenshot from the action RPG.
According to a tweet from IGN editor Casey Lynch, the website will air the first footage tomorrow at 12 PM PST. The reveal won't be a short one. Lynch says that they've got 12 minutes to share from the game.
The screenshot accompanying his tweet reveals that bonfires will be making a return in Dark Souls 2. Bonfires, introduced in Dark Souls, served as rest stops. If a player rested at a bonfire, they replenish their health, spells and flasks. The downside is that all common enemies will respawn.
Dark Souls 2 was announced at the Spike VGAs with a CGI trailer. Since then, all we've seen of the game are a few pieces of concept art. It's nice to finally get to see the game itself.
GameTrailers TV will also be featuring the game on Thursday's episode. Maybe they'll show off something other than what IGN is airing?
