The latest developer diary for Dark Void features a look at the art-style, weapon combination and inspiration behind the game. Unsurprisingly enough, the devs admit that BattleStar Galactica and a lot of sci-fi themes from the 1930s played into Dark Void’s concepts.
The game has two varying artistic elements going on at once: on one side there is the metal-age weaponry and steam-punk tech modified by Tesla, appropriately named Tesla Punk. While on the other side of the spectrum there is the highly advanced, techno-alien devices that include laser, phase and plasma technology.
You can check out the new developer documentary below or visit the Official Website for more information. Dark Void is due out for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on January 19th, 2010 in North America and January 22nd, 2010 in Europe.
