An extremely awesome new trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game, Darksiders: Wrath of War, has been released and it gives a brief overview of the epic apocalyptic story.

The game centers on the battle of Armageddon, as described in the intriguing and overly cryptic Book of Revelations. Players assume the role of War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. A conspiracy involving the war angels of heaven and the demon horde of hell works as the crux of the game’s story, with War seeking to restore balance. During this, players will use the feared horseman to cleave, hack, mutilate and decimate all things in their path.

The following trailer does an excellent job of setting up the premise of the storyline for the game, as well as introducing players to the sword-wielding, gun-totting battle-fiend known as War.
