Deep Silver and Techland’s upcoming, open-world, action-RPG zombie-survival game, Dead Island, is nearing release but there’s a few extra goodies in store for gamers such as Xbox Live Avatar accessories and some bonus items when the game is pre-ordered from Amazon.

First and foremost, there’s some additional content available for PlayStation Home users to experience the zombie-apocalypse. I’m not sure about the details exactly but infamous PR pioneer, Aubrey Norris hints at Dead Island taking over PS Home. Next up, a few clothing items and item accessories are coming soon for your Xbox Live Avatar, so you can look like a ghetto zombie killer or a sexy club survivor.

If you’re still geeked up about even more Dead Island goodies, then you’ll find that there’s a digital artbook that will be available, along with a complete map of the island paradise contained within the limited edition pre-order package for Dead Island when you get the game from Amazon.
