Dead Or Alive 5 Plus Gets New Details On Touch Fighting, Training, More
Dead Or Alive 5 Plus is set to hit, kick and throw the PlayStation Vita in just a few months and, today, developer Team Ninja decided to release some more information concerning some of the gameís special features unique to the Vita version of the game.
At its core, Dead Or Alive 5 Plus is identical to the gameplay experience offered by the standard version currently available on consoles. Itís so similar, in fact, the game will even support cross-platform play. Not only can folks who own both versions of the game share their downloaded costumes between the two versions, but both the Vita and PS3 versions of the game can compete in the same online lobbies.
Along with being able to go toe-to-toe with its console counterpart, Dead or Alive 5 Plus for the Vita also offers a couple of new enhancements. First up is a Training Plus Mode, which allows players to go through even more challenging missions than ever before in order to hone their fighting skills.
The biggest addition, however, are the two brand new touch play modes, both requiring your Vita to be held vertically in portrait mode. Mode 1 of the Touch Play allows you to view the arena from a first-person perspective, simply tapping your opponents body in order to perform an attack on that location. Mode 2 ups the ante a bit, requiring touch, flicks and pinches on the screen to create specific attacks.
On top of that, Dead or Alive 5 Plus is also getting a more detailed framerate, making the game looks smoother and more detailed than ever.
Fighting fans looking forward to Dead or Alive 5 Plus on the Vita can mark their calendars for a March 19 release date.
