Antony Johnston, the British writer who scripted survival horror game Dead Space, will be battling Necromorphs once again. He's signed on to script Dead Space: Extraction, the all-new game coming to the Wii later this year.

Johnston confirmed this news on his blog (via Gamer Limit), and had this to say about the game itself: "Obviously what I can't do is go into any detail yet. But I can say the following:
  • I've seen the game, and it looks incredible for the Wii
  • The voice cast is great, including a couple of names you'll recognise
  • The story is strong, with a big emphasis on character
  • I think the on-rails-haters will be pleasantly surprised at how much gameplay variety has been packed in."

Johnston also penned the comic book series that served as a prequel to the PS3/360/PC game so the man knows his Ishimuras from his Kellions. Dead Space: Extraction is due in Fall 2009.
