A lot of new assets have become available for the upcoming action-packed crime-drama, Dead to Rights: Retribution and it includes a little dog biting, some head fragging and some Bruce Lee pummeling action.
The new trailer is a compilation of in-game play and features a series of scenarios that involve Jack laying waste to enemies, opening up a can of whoop-butt and blasting parts of the environment to pieces. This new trailer is more streamlined with action than the developer documentary that you may have seen here at Blend Games. Anyway, the game looks like it really rekindles the third-person arcade style that was popular during the PS2’s era, which seems to have faded from the gaming scene as of late.
According to the press release, gamers can check get a glimpse at…
using cover effectively both defensively (as a barrier shield, blind firing from safety or surprise hitting an enemy by kicking over cover) or offensively (destroying cover in order to shoot an enemy); utilizing rapid-firing turrets; and effectively utilizing “focus mode” to slow down time in order to get better aim on an enemy.
“Focus mode” is so 1999. But it’s good that the new focus on the game relies on the playable canine and the enhanced, seamless transition between gunplay, disarming and melee combat.
