Tequila Works' side-scrolling, zombie-apocalypse action-adventure title, Deadlight, has been receiving a ton of praise from around the interweb block. The game sports a fresh combination of puzzle solving goodness fused with satisfying shotgun blasts to the face. You get a nice little look at the game's pace and features in the fresh-off-the-press launch trailer.
The game is scheduled to go live on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Live Arcade this Wednesday, August 1st. The game takes players on a journey in a dark and dangerous future where they'll not only contend against the harsh environment to stay alive, but it'll also be a matter of trying to out-wit, out-gun and out-run the zombie horde who wants to do nothing more than peel the flesh off your bones. Check it out in the trailer below. I really, really love the game's Limbo-esque art-style fused with a sort of scripted-Hollywood element. The combination gives the game this horror, thriller vibe while wrapped in a mask of suspense and action-oriented tension. As mentioned, it's a great combination. The gunplay looks solid, the platforming looks good and the scenery looks engaging. I think that's enough to warrant some interest, yeah? Yeah?! YES!!! You can look for Deadlight to launch this Wednesday exclusively for the Xbox 360. Need to learn more? Head on over to the Official Website. Back to top
