In a press release detailing a pre-order bonus and deluxe edition for PS3 RPG Demon's Souls, Atlus USA revealed a more important bit of information: the game's North American release date.

Demon's Souls will be released in North American stores on October 6th. The $70 deluxe edition of the game will come with a 150+ page strategy guide as well as a collectible outer slipcase. Pre-ordering either the deluxe or standard edition of Souls will net you a free art book with designs and concept art created during the game's development.

Souls was released in Japan in February 2009. The October 6th North American release date means it'll arrive in stores at the same time as the multi-platform espionage RPG Alpha Protocol. RPG-loving PS3 owners thus have a pretty tough decision to make.
