Have you patted yourself on the back today? You really should. There’s a damn good chance that you, and thousands just like you, figured out what was up with the mysterious Blizzard splash page. If you’ve been away from the internet for a full day then let me catch you up. Blizzard has announced their next game (well next after Starcraft II and Wrath of the Lich King) as Diablo 3. What’s even better than that? Those hoping for an MMO are going to be disappointed, which means the rest of us looking forward to the ultimate in dungeon crawling will be ecstatic.

It’s been nearly a decade since Diablo 2, so what can we expect from the third installment? Pretty much a lot of the same. We’re going back to Sanctuary, only 20 years after the last game ended. Blizzard promises 5 character classes in the game – Witch Doctor and a revamped Barbarian class have been shown off so far. And joy of joys the random environments are staying there and being improved upon.
