Most action-RPGs typecast players as a specific class: a mage, a priest, a swordsman, a blader, archer, hunter, etc., etc. In Divinity II players are class-less and can freely evolve as they see fit. The new trailer even exemplifies the class-free structure that the game utilizes.
A better way to describe Divinity II is like a dragon-version of Oblivion, where players explore, take on quests and expand their character’s abilities without all the classic character restrictions found in most class-based games.
You can check out the new trailer below, which mainly focuses on showing what kind of abilities players can utilize without being stigmatized as that particular class. Divinity II is due out for PC and Xbox 360 this upcoming January in 2010.
