It's a somewhat light week for new game releases on the PlayStation Network but, when DmC: Devil May Cry is leading the charge, do you really need a myriad of other games to keep you busy?
Dante the Demon Hunter has returned, bringing with him the first big release of 2013. Say what you will about the half-angel, half-demon's physical makeover, everything else fans have come to love about the Devil May Cry series looks to remain intact in this latest offering. From high-flying combat to crazy level traversal and an attitude that is 100 percent rock and roll, DmC looks to wrap the third-person action we all know and love into a shiny new package that hoists a middle finger at the naysayers. If nothing else, Gaming Blend's Steve West certainly seemed to enjoy it.
The other big full game release this week is BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition, which combines the modern classic first-person shooter BioShock with its sequel, BioShock 2, and a boatload of DLC for both titles.
If you'd rather fling fowl through the weekend, then you can also pick up the Angry Birds Trilogy this week, which bundles the original Angry Birds with Seasons and the Rio sequel.
Horror fans get a double dose of content this week in the form of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows for the PlayStation Portable and Vita, as well as the original Siren for the PS2 Classics Collection.
Finally, PS2 gem Disgaea: Hour of Darkness will bring its unique blend of hilarious RPG action and strategy combat to the PS2 collection for PSN, giving gamers a chance to see where this long and storied franchise first took root.
Additional details on each game can be found over on the PlayStation Blog. Look for all of these titles, as well as the usual mix of trailers, DLC, etc. once the PlayStation Network update goes live Tuesday afternoon.
