Dozens Of PlayStation Titles Are Available During Their Holiday Sale

PlayStation has certainly spread the Christmas cheer with their annual Holiday Sale. In Week 3, loyal PlayStation lovers have been gifted with deals on games like Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3, Destiny: The Taken King and more. But you have to hurry up and purchase your game, because the deals for Week 3 end on December 28.

The PlayStation sale isn’t just for game lovers, either. The sale also includes movies like 22 Jump Street, Pineapple Express and San Andreas.

Games like Battlefield: Hardline have been slashed from a $40 retail price down to $19.99 (Plus members) and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection got cut down from $59.99 to a mere $27.00 (Plus Members). The sale is insane and the roster on PlayStation’s blog post for games on sale is seemingly endless. The best part is, you don’t technically need to be a PlayStation Plus member to take advantage of the deals, either. Sure, PlayStation Plus members will have the lowest guaranteed price of the games and films, but non-members will also enjoy a decrease in price.

According to PlayStation’s blog post concerning the holiday sale, non-members are getting the chance to save up to 65% on the long list of blockbusters and popular games, but Plus members get to roll around in savings up to 75%. But not everyone is happy with the outcome of PlayStation’s sale roster.

The PlayStation Holiday Sale is in direct competition with the Steam Holiday Sale happening concurrently. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is actually cheaper on Steam than it is on the PlayStation Holiday Sale.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is $53.99 on sale in the PlayStation store, but on Steam, it’s 25% off at $44.99. So really, it boils down to what platform you’d prefer to play it on. Even as a PlayStation Plus member, the price only drops to $49.79, with the Steam version still being cheaper. Although, at only a $9.00 difference in prices between PlayStation and Steam, does it really matter that much? Some might argue it does. For those who don’t have a gaming PC, they have to get the slightly pricier PS4 version. In all honesty, it’s Christmas. Just be happy you’re getting a deal at all and take what you can get, be thankful and go back to enjoying your eggnog.

Week 4 of PlayStation’s Holiday Sale will commence on Tuesday, December 29 and will be the final week in sales.
