Dragon Age Inquisition Adds Multiplayer DLC

Dragon Age Inquisition is already a pretty massive game, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping the folks at BioWare from throwing even more wood on a raging fire, introducing brand new DLC that adds multiplayer content, as well as digital upgrade offers, to the game.

Released last month, Dragon Age Inquisition has already earned a lot of high praise, popping up on Game of the Year lists here and there in the tippy-top spot. But it looks like a great game is getting even better thanks to a recent update, starting with the “Destruction” multiplayer pack.

According to the official announcement, the Destruction DLC adds “new paths to existing destinations.” And what, exactly, does that mean? Well, it looks like the war that’s been raging throughout the entirety of the game proper has aggravated some of the critters living around the world, and now they’ll be roaming the battlefield in order to add a new spin on the raging chaos. The Destruction pack, in case you were wondering, is available right this very second at the low-low cost of exactly zero dollars.

So grab a buddy, head back into the lands of Thedas and enjoy a bit of hunting for sport (and experience!) as various monsters stray into new territories.

Along with that shiny new free multiplayer content, the folks at BioWare are also offering up a new way for players to upgrade to the Deluxe version of the game. If you’ve been rocking the vanilla version of Inquisition and long for more goodies, power and prestige, then you’ll want to check out the Deluxe Upgrade for $9.99.

For starters, you’ll be granted access to the Skyhold Throne, which basically means that your royal hind quarters will be able to rest on a throne crafted from a dragon skull. As far as vanity items go, that’s a pretty rad one.

In order to get around the maps faster, you’ll also be granted a pair of new mounts including he Red Hart Halla and the Bog Unicorn. So, not only do you spend your days sitting on a dragon’s skull, but now you can venture out into the world sitting astride a majestic unicorn. That’s double the rad.

The Deluxe Edition upgrade will also grant you access to a digital copy of the game’s sweeping soundtrack, as well as special chests for the multiplayer content, some multi-class weapons caked in fire, a suit of Inquisitor armor and another new mount, this one wearing its own suit of armor.

Anyway, just something to keep in mind if you’re already cruising along in Dragon Age Inquisition or thinking about picking it up for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 or PS4.
