EA 2D announced today that they're developing an all-new game set in the Dragon Age universe. Dragon Age Journeys is a Flash-based game playable in your browser.

According to this BioWare blog post by producer Ethan Levy, Journey has been in development since November 2008. Lead designer on the project is Daniel Stradwick, the creator of the Flash RPG series Monster's Den. EA 2D's currently finishing the first chapter, Dragon Age Journeys: The Deep Roads, which introduces the underground tunnels known as the Deep Roads and the dwarven city of Orzammar. No release date was given.

The team at EA 2D was assisted in their effort by the team at BioWare developing Dragon Age: Origins. They were provided with actual assets from DA:O, such as the sounds effect, user interface, and music. Journeys will also include the same character classes and talent trees from the PC/PS3/Xbox 360 game.
