To follow up on the announcement of Dragon Age: Origins's expansion this morning, BioWare has sent out the first trailer. It's about a minute-and-a-half of actual gameplay footage.

The Awakening begins after the main campaign of Dragon Age: Origins concludes. The archdemon has been defeated but its darkspawn horde is not so easily bested. A new, intelligent breed of darkspawn now rises to challenge you. The Skeletor-looking guy in the trailer could be your main antagonist.

In addition to extending the storyline, Awakening adds a slew of other new content as well. It's set to be released on March 16th for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
