The classic arcade game from the 80s is being revived, for like the 800th time. This time Destineer is bringing the old-school Dragon Lair trilogy to the Nintendo Wii. The three-part series will land on retailer shelves this fall and gamers will be able to save princess Daphne in Dragon’s Lair, Dragon’s Lair 2: Time Warp and Space Ace.

As stated in the press release…
As valiant knight Dirk the Daring, immerse yourself in a fantasy adventure on a quest to rescue Princess Daphne from the clutches of an evil dragon. You control the actions of the daring adventurer, finding your way through the castle of a dark wizard, who has enchanted it with treacherous monsters and obstacles.

Quick-time events for the win! The game has seen its fair share of success on nearly every console that could support full motion video capture and Wii owners will be able to get their fill of one of the first QTE based games that paved the way for games like Night Trap or more recently, Heavy Rain.

You can look for the trilogy to become available this fall for only $29.95. You can learn more about this classic arcade series by heading on over to the Official Website.
