The free-to-play relaunch of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach now has a release date. Turbine has announced that Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited will go live on August 4th here in North America.

The VIPs (folks paying an optional monthly subscription) will have access starting on August 4th. The non-paying masses will be able to play it on the 6th. Once Eberron Unlimited launches, the game will primarily support itself through the DDO Store, which will sell adventure packs, hirelings, and other content.

The relaunch will be accompanied by a a slave of new content. Players will now have access to a new character class, Favored Soul, which is kind of like a Cleric. The game will also get an improved combat system, new adventure packs, and a new level cap. That'll be icing on the cake for some of you though, who have likely never tried the game in its three years or so of operations.
