Koei has recently announced that the PSP exclusive, Dynasty Warriors: StrikeForce is now available in North America. While this may be the umpteenth iteration of the Dynasty Warriors franchise, it definitely stands as being one of the more interesting and feature-heavy versions of the series.

According to the press release, “Strikeforce delivers the newest and most revolutionary combat system to the franchise, with never-before-seen aerial fighting techniques, the ability to wield secondary weapons, and most of all the incredible “Fury” that transforms each fighter into a supernatural warrior.”

The game features more than just that…it’s really cool because it’s the first Dynasty Warriors game that offers support for up to four-players. In addition to this, the game introduces aerial combat like never before and some really awesome boss battles. I’m not sure why the console versions of Dynasty Warriors isn’t quite as cool as this PSP version, but if future iterations of the series is anything like this then the franchise is in for some happy times.

Commemorating the launch of StrikeForce, Koei has provided PSP gamers with a demo that is currently available on the PlayStation Store.
