Soon to be hailed as the Contra for the 360 and PS3 era, Army of Two is one of those cool coop games we just don’t get all too often. Opposite of Kane and Lynch, Army of Two is more of the mercenary “good guys” via comparison. Players will solve conflicts with gunfire and perform heroic actions using wits and teamwork. You can get the total low-down with the trailers and fact sheet.
EA may be known for their sub-standard sequels and repetitively low-grade rehashes, but you at least have to give the big corp., props for trying a few new things in the riskiest generation of video gaming, ever. In fact, EA could lose big if a game like Army of Two doesn’t pan out. However, that’s highly unlikely given the game’s sweet gun-modifier (ala Parabellum)and custom merc accessories that players can purchase and upgrade between missions. There’s also the two-player cooperative mode that can be played online or in split-screen mode. And let’s not forget the single-player with the super-competent AI partner...that’s bound to draw big attention one way or another.
Anyway, don’t let me throw your attention out the door...you can check out the fact sheet and E3 2007 trailers below. Enjoy.
