We know that a lot of our readers have had a huge mixed bag of reactions to Midway’s latest fps offering. And while I may agree that the game doesn’t necessarily bath in the pool of innovation, I do have to give props to Midway for at least giving the game a very dynamic atmosphere, and you can see it for yourself in this new E3 trailer.

Not to meddle over a boiling pot, but the real debate and controversy over Blacksite: Area 51 comes into play when the topic of originality flops into the discussion. And yes, I agree that the game lacks originality. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that one out. However, as some gamers may agree, at least the game props to exploit some really fast-paced, squad-based, urban alien shooting, with modern combat weapons and full-on military tactics. In this way, the game does look quite appeasing. Or in the other words, what it lacks in innovation it looks like it might make up for it with the fun factors.

And as you’ll see from the following trailer, Blacksite: Area 51 contains a simplified but acceptable story premise, which is decent enough to give players a reason to pick up the controller and blast some alien scum in the face. Enjoy.
