Sony’s rivaling equivalent to Halo 3 is KillZone 2, and these two titans have traded heavy blows on the forefronts of the video game fanboy community. Soon the war will tide once both games see their respective releases, but until then it’ll be matter of screenshots, trailers and artwork being used as the basis for the battleground.

At this year’s E3 Sony decided to unveil the big guns. After an extremely disappointing showing at last year’s event, many gamers believed that 2007 was the year that Sony would strike back hard. Well, I’m here to tell you that the screenshots you’re about to see don’t quite strike back as hard as you might think. They don’t look bad, but I was expecting a bit more (then again, given the fanboy hype, there was no way Guerilla would meet those kind of expectations). The artwork, however, is exceptional. The dark shades of gray and metal colored overtones give the concept art a dark edge. Real nice stuff.
