E3 2007: Metal Gear Solid 4 Screenshots For PS3

published: 2007-07-16 05:45:01
One of the leading games making headway as a potential system-seller for the PS3, is Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Featuring a thorough and thorough cinematic gameplay experience and high-tech, interactive stealthy features, MGS4 is a continued tradition of Konami’s publishing power. And you can view the screenshots from E3, right here.

All I can tell you is that this game looks freaking insane. While this may be Hideo’s last hand at directing a Metal Gear game, at least he’s making sure that his latest (and last) gaming venture for MGS is one heck of a looker. As you’ll see from the following screenshots, the character models and anatomical detail is highlighted with some snazzy dynamic lighting and self-shadowing, along with super-smooth texturing effects.

Then again, unlike a lot of other games that have seen drawbacks from their initial E3 showings (i.e., Anyone remember Fight Night Round 3 for the PS3 from E3 2005? Yeah, that was a total lie, from EA, about that game running in real-time for the PS3...especially when it was released a year after the Xbox 360 version and ran like crap) MGS has stayed consistent with its visual presentations. In fact, I’m convinced this game gets better looking every time they release new footage and screenshots. You can check them out below.
