Ubisoft recently made the announcement about bringing exclusive content to the Nintendo Wii. Aside from the mini-game antics most companies are bringing to the Nintendo Wii, Ubisoft has announced that they would like to revive a dying racing trend on Nintendo's console, specifically the motorcycle racing trend.
“Ubisoft is thrilled to be introducing the first Motocross game available for Wii," said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “"Nitrobike's fun and fast-paced gameplay is sure to be a hit for Wii owners for the holiday season." While this E3 summit seems like it has more news than a Paris Hilton marathon on CNN, we definitely can’t say that some of it hasn’t been very interesting. I think, this classifies as being interesting. As for the game; it will have players taking up super high-speeds in rocket-propelled Nitrobikes. While the game is quite similar to Extreme G, which originally appeared on the Nintendo 64, it’s more accurately like Jet Moto fused with Rocket Jockey. “Players can choose to race against the clock or against worthy opponents in Nitrobike's exciting multiplayer game mode and unique online mode.” ...So says the press release. And is it me, or does the rider in the screenshot look an awful lot like a power-ranger? We’ll bring you more information on this game, including screenshots and media.
