E3 2007: Resident Evil: UC Trailer Plus New Wii Controller

We’ve showcased Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles here on CB Games before. The game features lots and lots of wanton zombie killing and really that’s about it. We’ve come to grips with that and learned to accept the game for what it is. This is why I had to stop and think for a minute about whether or not anyone would actually care about this new gameplay video. However, Nintendo has released some interesting information to go along with it that will definitely be interesting to folks interested in this game.
To release in tandem with this game, and perhaps actually enhance the zombie killing fun that it will feature, Nintendo is telling us that a brand new peripheral will be coming out for Wii. Currently being called “The Zapper,” (Editor's Note: You can also check out CB Tech's article about the Zapper) this device features what appears to just be an apparatus that holds to Wiimote and nunchaku in place to form a sort of machine-gun like controller. The nunchaku goes into the handle to you can still have full control over movement, and the Wii-mote goes into the barrel to use as a light gun. It’s novel sure, but is it also completely useless? Not necessarily. This could help out a little bit with the extremely annoying light gun controls in current Wii First Person Shooters.
