A lot of people were expecting an announcement for Battlefront 3, and it didn’t happen. Still, handheld owners...specifically, PSP owners will be able to re-live old assaults and venture on new quests with Star Wars Battlefront: RS. You may have seen the interview footage from earlier in the year, but now Lucas Arts has released the new E3 trailer.

One of the things that make this newest Battlefront game so cool, is that the classes are now done away with. The biggest problem with any game that has open-battlefields and a class system will eventually run into the problem of unbalanced character attributes and lop-sided gameplay. That’s exactly how it was with Battlefront and Battlefront 2, despite the fun gameplay mechanics and rocking multiplayer options.

Battlefront: RS redeems the quality of gameplay and the balance between the battles by allotting players attribute points to purchase stats and specialty equipment. Want a faster gun? How about a jetpack? Fancy a Bowcaster? No problem. Things have been evened out to the point where this Battlefront could be worth owning for the character customization alone.
