Final Fantasy XIV was the perhaps the biggest surprise of Sony's E3 conference. Despite what they said, though, it seems the game isn't exclusive to PlayStation 3.

According to the press release sent out by Square Enix, the MMORPG will be released for the PC as well. Sony and Microsot both have a tendency to call something "exclusive" simply because other consoles don't have it, even if the game's coming to the PC. Microsoft, for example, touts Left 4 Dead as an exclusive.

Meh. That's marketing talk for you. Maybe FFXIV will have cross-platform like FFXI? The game will be released globally in Japanese, English, French, and German in 2010.
