E3 2009: Majesco Unveils Flip’s Twisted World

published: 2009-05-26 13:26:16
As if shaking the Wii-mote to no end is fun enough, Majesco has decided to add a sense of substance to said shaking. Instead, players will actually have to use precision motions to navigate through the upcoming Wii exclusive, Flip’s Twisted World.

“Flip’s Twisted World offers a truly innovative take on the traditional platform game by sidestepping conventional design in favor of a three-dimensional, perspective-altering approach,” said Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations for Majesco. “With a charismatic main character, fantastic puzzle landscapes and a unique gameplay mechanic, Flip’s gives platform game fans something to look forward to in the New Year.”

Players will assume the role of Flip, an apprentice who accidentally messes with the wrong magical artifacts and ends up in twisted world. You know, this sort of stuff typically seems to happen with numbskull apprentices and magical artifacts. When will they ever learn?

Anyway, players will navigate through the cubed world and actually have some control over it by twisting the world by 90 degrees in any direction, with the simple use of the Wii-mote. The concept sounds fairly interesting and could provide some good depth for the use of the Wii-mote (finally).

Majesco will have Flip’s Twisted World on display and demoed at the meeting room #514 at the E3 2009 Expo at the LA Convention Center from June 2nd until June 4th.

Flip’s Twisted World is due out exclusively for the Nintendo Wii during the first quarter of 2010. You can visit the Official Flip’s Twisted World Website for further info on the game. For more gaming news, info and updates, be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games.
