When Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny arrives on the PSP, it'll bring a classic PlayStation character with it. Namco Bandai announced today that God of War's Kratos will be a guest character in the game.

Strange cameos are not unprecedented in the franchise. Soul Calibur IV for the PS3 and Xbox 360 received Darth Vader, Yoda, and Vader's apprentice from The Force Unleashed as playable characters. Compared to Jedi and Sith, Kratos actually doesn't sound so incongruous.

Broken Destiny will arrive exclusively on the PSP this fall.
