E3 2009: Unreal Engine 3 Demoed With New Features

Epic has announced today that the Unreal Engine 3 will be on display and demoed at E3 2009. Not only will it be showcased on the floor but it the engine will also be demonstrating brand new features and functionality.

Already, Epic has let loose a plethora of new technological advancements for the Unreal Engine 3, many of which were demonstrated and unveiled at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference. Some of those new features included Unreal Lightmass for global illumination, Unreal Swarm for faster light generation and the Unreal Content Browser, used for locating and accessing assets with ease.

The press release breaks down the company’s schedule for E3 as well as scheduling for appointments and individual demonstrations of the Unreal Engine 3. You can check out the hours of availability for Epic at this year’s E3, below. Epic’s booth will be located at the South Hall #302, in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Hours for Epic’s booth are the same as expo hours: Tuesday, June 2, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Thursday, June 4, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
