Ubisoft gave gamers an extensive look at Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at E3. They released a cinematic trailer for the game and also did a live gameplay demo during their press conference.

The trailer shows Ezio in Rome at the start of the 16th century. He assaults his current target in broad daylight as they ride in a wagon with the Pope. Pretty ballsy, but this time he's got back-up. Both in the trailer and in the game, Ezio will be supported by other Assassins. This means the introduction of co-op to the series.

The gameplay demo shows a pivotal story moment. Ezio's nice villa - you know, that one you built up in Assassin's Creed II - is under attack by an army. He mans a cannon on the villa's wall to destroy the siege towers, and also sword-fights a few soldiers on the parapets. The video ends with the introduction of the main villain. I don't want to spoil what happens but needless to say, he gives you a lot of reason to hunt him down in Rome.
