Heading into E3, everyone expected Nintendo to announce a new Zelda for the Wii. During their press conference, they did just that.

Shigeru Miyamoto was on hand to give a live demo of the game. The basic gyst is this: you use the Wii and Nunchuk as your sword and shield. Other items, such as a whip and wrist-launched beetle, will be controlled in a similar matter. The game utilizes Wii MotionPlus to make the swordfighting precise.

Unfortunately, the rumor that it would arrive this holiday season isn't true. Miyamoto said that the game will arrive in 2011. The first trailer and Miyamo's live demo are below.
