Agent 47 came out of hiding just in time for E3. IO Interactive has released a new CG trailer as well as several pieces of art for Hitman: Absolution.

In the trailer, Agent 47 infiltrates a home on an apparent assassination mission. He takes out the well-armed security forces with either his bare hands or improvised weapons. While this isn't in-game footage, it's a pretty good indication of what the game is like.

Absolution is the fifth game in the Hitman series, which tasks players with assassinating targets with a combination of stealth, disguises, and brute force. This will be the first game in the series to be released for the PS3. It's also in development for the PC and Xbox 360.

IO Interactive plans to release Absolution in 2012.
