EA Using Unreal Engine 3 To Upgrade Survival Horror Genre What happens when the legendary Shinji Mikami, the infamous Suda 51, and Electronic Arts team up to make a game using the Unreal Engine 3? Well, you get a neo-survival horror title that will be making its way to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Grasshopper Manufacturer is working on a new title that will be sure to make it hard for gamers to peel their thumbs off the controller once it gets released. Using the Unreal Engine 3, and featuring design leads of legendary status, this game is bound to turn some heads when the time comes.

“Unreal Engine 3 is a powerful, easy-to-implement game engine that is helping the creative team at Grasshopper quickly bring our vision to life,” said Goichi Suda, CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture. “The innovative tools and technology in Unreal Engine 3 help developers create games faster, easier and with less risk.”

Well, I remember a couple of years ago when Denis Dyack and the gang at Silicon Knights were saying the same thing about the UE3 when developing Too Human. Anyway, Jay Wilbur, vice president of Epic Games, had a couple of things to say about the matter, stating...“It’s an honor to work with Mikami-san and Suda-san on their next project,”. Jay went on to say, “Grasshopper Manufacture is one of the most daring and innovative studios in the world, and we can’t wait to see what they’re able to do with Unreal Engine 3.”
