Vavle’s streamlined software application that allows gamers to easily download software products has some rival competition. Steam’s 10 million user base will be put to the test as Electronic Arts has a service that also allows gamers to download full version games, right from the comfort of their own home. Check out the complete list of all the EA games that are available on the EA Link.

The free download service (not the actual products) is called Link. And Electronic Arts is using the service as a way for gamers to access not-so-exclusive content. Demos, updates and even full-version purchases can be accessed using the download service. In addition to gaining access to content for EA's newest game, the Need for Speed Carbon, EA Link features downloadable versions of The Sims 2, Madden NFL 07, FIFA Soccer 07, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07, NHL 07, Battlefield 2142 and Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth, Rise of the Witch-king. The fresh look of EA Link and (somewhat) easy navigation is supposed to deliver an easy and secure experience for PC game fans.

Want to find out more? Of course you do...here’s the link to the EA Link.
