If you’ve watched Sportscenter on ESPN last night, then you could automatically be eligible for winning a new sweepstakes by ESPN and Microsoft. Winning the sweepstakes includes a free trip to Bristol, Connecticut to visit the set of ESPN’s SportsCenter, an Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system, and a variety of games and Xbox 360 peripherals.
According to the press release, both Microsoft and ESPN will kick off The Ultimate Xbox 360 Entertainment Experience, a three week online sweepstakes with entry through www.Xbox360winitall.com. Viewers will be asked five questions about the commercial spots that aired during Sportscenter, and if they get three or more correct, they will automatically be entered in the sweepstakes. Ed Erhardt, president, ESPN Customer Marketing and Sales stated, “Xbox 360 as the sole advertiser for the November 28th SportsCenter is a testament to the popularity of the program and the strong demographic tie to the ESPN audience. “ If you weren’t privy to the advertisements, or happened to be taking a potty break at the time, I can only arcanely go over them: the “Cops and Robbers” advertisement signaled a target which "captures the gaming experience as an exhilarating adventure.” And a spot for Gears of War was shown, entitled “Mad World” (featuring the music made famous by Roland Orzabal in Donnie Darko). I’m sure those clues won’t help you, but it won’t stop a lot of you from guessing those answers to your heart’s content. As mentioned, though, the sweepstakes will end in three weeks. |
