Run Up Games recently announced that the open beta for the upcoming North American version of their MMO, Emil Chronicle Online, has just received a going-live date and it happens to be September 30th.

According to the press release…

In conjunction with the launch of Emil Chronicle Online, there will be a series of events coming up before the release. Emil Chronicle Online is one of the most anticipated free to play MMORPG with its unique possession system and marionette system.

This game hasn’t been receiving a lot of press but it features a few unique gameplay options, including a marionette system that sees player’s toys/action-figures fighting in place for the player. It’s a bit weird and the system isn’t fully explained but it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re into the whole anime, free-to-play MMORPG genre.
