PlayFirst, best known for the PC casual gaming, has conjoined powers with the PC and console publisher, Empire Interactive. This partnership goes hand-in-hand, like Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in those movies they made that were so popular back in the 90's, or when Eddie Murphy actually had a partnership with something back in the 80's called comedy.
“The popularity of and strong fan-base for PlayFirst’s games in addition to Empire’s dedication to growing players’ game options made it an obvious match for the partnership,” said Karim Farghaly, vice president of sales, Empire Interactive. “This agreement will enable us to present console players with a growing selection of fun, premium casual games.” Yes, let Empire’s casual crusade begin! Seriously, though, the companies will be bringing fan-favorite titles such as Diner Dash: Flo on the Go, Wedding Dash, Dream Chronicles and Chocolatier to Nintendo DS gamers in 2009. Diner Dash, in particular, has picked up quite a following. So it will be very interesting to see how this game does when it finally lands on Nintendo’s casual champion, the Nintendo DS. “At PlayFirst, we pride ourselves on publishing top quality games and delivering them everywhere consumers want to play,” said Rich Roberts, vice president of sales and business development, PlayFirst. “Our partnership with Empire Interactive will allow us to reach DS owners looking for revitalized gaming options.” You can check out Empire Interactive’s Main Website or drop by PlayFirst’s Website to get more details on both companies.
