Tom Clancy's EndWar is due in October but Xbox 360 owners are going to get a chance to try it out early. Ubisoft has now opened up registration for a three-week, private beta in late June and early July.
You can apply to the beta here. The only requirements are that you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, a broadband Internet connection and 3 gigs of free hard drive space for the game. The beta will allow you to test three maps in one-on-one and two-on-two online matches. EndWar is set in the near future and imagines a third World War between the US, Europe, and Russia over dwindling natural resources. It's been suggested that the storyline will link up in some fashion to other Tom Clancy games such as Splinter Cell or Rainbox Six. It will also be released on PS3, PSP, DS, and PC but there's been no word of a beta for any of those platforms yet. |
