Namco Bandai has officially sent out word on when gamers can expect to pick up their very own copy of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, and it’s not too far off if you don’t mind huffing and puffing through the summer heat.

As stated in the press release…

A tactical action-adventure game, ENSLAVED centers on the complex relationship between the two main characters and challenges players to employ a mix of combat, strategy and environment traversal. With influences and contributions from top music and film industry talent, ENSLAVED combines beautifully rendered graphics and captivating music with seamless animation and engrossing gameplay.

The game itself looks quite gorgeous, featuring an artistically inclined art-style that has a picturesque feel to the environments and ravaged yet stunning landscapes. How well the game will do in the now over-crowding beat-e’m-up, hack-and-slash genre is something that we’ll have to wait and see about.
