Epic Acquires Chair

Chair, the guys who brought us the underwater Undertow an XBLA, have been bought out by Epic Games. The small developer had previously announced that they would use the Unreal Engine exclusively for all their upcoming titles. Now you can be sure that’ll happen.

Chair Entertainment will continue working on their upcoming projects, both based around the writings of Orson Scott Card. The Ender’s Game uh…game, will not feature the entire story. Instead the developer plans to focus on the “Battle Room.” I wonder if Epic’s going to get involved and have them implement more pop and shoot mechanics using the stars throughout the room.

While the games are going to lead on XBLA, Chair plans to release Ender’s Game on as many platforms as possible.
