Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 Can Speak NowAuthor: William Usher

Yes, the Unreal Engine 3 Integrated Partnership Program that Epic started a long time ago in a far away place has now been imbued with voice service technology from ViVox. Does this mean less cheesiness with voice acting in games using UE3? Nope. It just means they’ll have nice sounding voices when delivering cheesy lines.
"Working with top partners like Vivox and integrating their technologies into Unreal Engine 3 further provides our licensees with the best development tools available," said Dr. Michael Capps, president of Epic Games. "Their breadth of features, operational excellence and ability to scale has made Vivox a market leader in voice services for games, and we welcome them to the Integrated Partners Program." Honestly, the Unreal Engine 3 Integrated Partnership Program makes it look awfully appealing for getting access to a lot of integrated middleware support for designing a game. Interested? You can learn more by visiting the Official Unreal Engine 3 Website. Of course, for those of you who care little or nothing about UE3, and just want the latest in voice software technology, feel free to drop by ViVox’s Main Website.
